PREMIER EXTENSION HELP regarding background process

Hello! I'm currently working on a premiere extension and have also create a .exe that pairs with the extension to manage certain features. Is it possible to have the .exe start running when the extension is loaded? I tried adding this to the main javascript in the extension but it does not work as I've intended.

This function is called in the DomContentloaded event listener.

Any help regarding this or any ideas on how to get this executable running when the extension loads would be insanely appreciated. Thank you!

I figured it out! I'd love to delete this post now but idk how
