Hi
Premier Pro has been crashing every 5-15 minutes when using it - on a PC.

When it crashes sometimes I can hear the audio playing but the video in the preview window stops and the playhead also stops moving. I can, however, still save my project.

I cannot close down Premier Pro without an error message from Task Manager and I have to force the programme to stop. Even if I manage to close it, on reopening the issue persists. The only solution to stopping it is holding down the computer power button and crashing the computer through a forced restart. I can then open Premier Pro as normal and will be able to work for in between 5 and 15mins before it all happens again.

I have tried uninstalling the most recent updates, I have completely uninstalled and reinstalled it etc. but nothing stops this from happening.

I first encountered this in late March (2023) and haven’t had to edit anything since, but have come back to editing now and despite the recent updates am still having the problem.

I have contacted my IT services and they have check that my computer is working correctly and suggest I seek help here

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks
Hannah
