Hello
I'm having an issue with Premiere 2025 - and I think with After Effects 2025 too.
- My Pc: Windows 11 last up - Intel Ultra Core 9 - 96GB RAM. (2 days of use only)
When I start a encoding - Premiere starts ok - very fast - but - 10s to finish (10, 11s - always the same to finish) - the encoding stops. (I hear the pc fan stopping and the cpu going to idle) - and freeze..
After Effects I had a similar issue too. At 30% of the process (same % every time too) - the encoding freezes too.. But in After Effects if I wait some seconds, 1 minute - After Effects continues to encoding and finishes ok.
Premiere - doesn't. I need to cancel. BUT after this. the program is freeze too. I need to End the process in Task Manager.
This issue occours every 25% of times - with the same project. (yes, I can encoding and finish ok sometimes).
any idea?
Hi Daniel_Rodrigo!
Thank you for reaching out and providing detailed information about your issue. I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing these problems.
Try clearing cache files: https://adobe.ly/3DELg6f
Sometimes, GPU acceleration could cause issues. Try disabling it in File > Project Settings > General and set the Renderer to Mercury Playback Engine Software Only.
Let us know how it goes.

Try pausing the export and then restarting it.
What are the hard drives (how many, what kind, what is on each, what capacity, and how full)?
If NVIDIA graphics, make sure to use the latest Studio Driver from NVIDIA (NOT the Game Driver).

Hi @Peru Bob First of all, tks for take a time to help me.
I can't pause the export on Premiere - just Cancel - I don't remember If I can do this in AE.
SSDs NVME CRUCIAL T705 2TB. - as I said, the machine was built in Dec. 27. (then the SSDs is new, clean and almost empty).
I'm without dedicate graphics. I'm waiting for the new 5090 next month.

If you export through Adobe Media Encoder, you will have the pause option.

Hi @Kartika Rawat first of all, tks for take a time to help me.
I will try this. But I'm working now without a dedicated video card. Only with the integrated Intel card, which shouldn't be a big problem, since I spent the last 5 years working with an i9 9900KS in the same way. For this machine I will add a dedicated board, as it will be used for AI work - just waiting for the 5090.
The problem does not occur all the time, - I've managed to complete the SAME PROJECT 100% - but sometimes - it just "FREEZES".
at first it seems that the machine simply "disconnects" from work. It comes on strong with the CPU 100% processing - and out of nowhere - it stops - leaving part of the work to process.
In AE it still resumes the encode - minutes waiting the "desfreeze" and finishes. In Premiere, no.
If I cancel the encode process in Premiere, I can work normally, HOWEVER, if I try to CLOSE Premiere - it freezes and I can only turn it off via task manager.
I have then played the encode to the Media Encoder. So far it's 100% - all the projects I've thrown at it have been completed without any problems, and extremely quickly. ( 1 minute video encoded in 45s)
Another problem I'm facing is with Adobe Illustrator. It is showing artifacts on the screen. (when I clean the screen, zoom in or move it around, the artifacts disappear)
