Hello.

Haven't had any issues for a couple of years until now. After restarting I noticed that Premiere took about 30 seconds to launch. Once it did, I noticed the Mercury Playback Engine CPU option is now greyed out (it is available in Media Encoder). In the media preferences I have the Enable Hardware accelrated decoding box checked. I've read previous posts about reverting back to previous versions of Premiere. I'm in the middle of projects, so I'd prefer not to go that route. Any advice to a not to technical editor would be appreciated. Here's my set up:

Apple M1-Ultra

128 GB Memory

OS Ventura

Premiere version 24.1.0

Thank you!

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
