Hey Adobe Community,

Having an issue with a project I'm working on:

1. Roundtripping Davinci XML into Premiere

2. When I start playback Premiere crashes

3. Repeatedly

I have a rough timeline and some color work from Resolve that I was trying to bring into premiere to drop Neat Video and some Warp stabilization on while cleaning up the timeline. But, Premiere crashes if I try to play the footage. Strangely, Premiere will render the files, but crashes then at playback (no time to save).

1. Is it Premiere?

2. Is it Apple? (Mac 10.11.6)

3. Is it neat video? (updated to latest version, which is compatible with cc 17)

4. Is it Resolve? (12.5.3)

5. Is it a vengeful unseen spirit?

Open to any help!

Hi Skiibojosh,

Change the Renderer to Mercury Playback Engine Software only & try playback.

     Instructions:

[File > Project Settings > General > Renderer,

Change the Renderer to Mercury Playback Engine Software only > Click OK,

In Video Rendering & Playback Settings Changes window click on Delete Previews ]

Please let us know the status.

Thanks,

Still crashes. I have an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770 with Cuda (updated to latest driver). But, even when I switch over to software only, it still crashes.

Skiibojosh,

What's the source footage? What preview file format?

Thanks,

Kevin

Sorry for the delay- had to jump into another project. The source footage is prores and the preview is: I-frame only MPEG. It still crashes when adding warp stablizer and neat video to a clip.
