Premiere constantly goes into "Not Responding" mode

Has this happened to anyone with Premiere 2024 recently? Ever since I did the most recent update, Premiere is borderline unusable at times. I'm not even talking about while I'm editing it. I'm talking about when I click on file, it goes into "Not Responding" mode and just freezes for a minute or even longer.

This really has only happened since the recent update, so I have hope that it'll get fixed when they roll out the next update, but I just want to make sure I'm not the only one experiencing this.

For reference, my computer is a Lenovo ThinkPad, has about 64 GB RAM, working on an i7 vPro, and I've closed pretty much all other programs and it still does this. Any insight would be greatly appreciated, kind folks!

Hi there!

Sorry about the trouble. Does it happen while importing files? If so, are you using internal/external or shared rive? Have you already tried resetting preferences and deleting cache files

Let us know.

Thanks,
KR

Hi! This same issue has been happening to me in Lightroom Classic since I updated last week. I literally can't do anything in the app anymore. I've reset my preferences but not sure if there's anything else to help fix it.
