Premiere Crash with Search bin

Unfortunately I have to realize that I crash Premiere (24.1.0 Build 85) 100% of the time when I try to create a "Search Bin". The project is restored afterwards with the search bin. But the crash repeats itself as soon as I select the folder. This means that I can no longer delete it. The only way to continue working is to create a new project in production and move everything there. Even though the search bin could be improved, I use this feature regularly for my productions. Please fix it ASAP! Thank you!

I have the same problem on 24.1. Creating a search bin crashes every time. And if I click on an old search folder, Premiere crashes as soon as I click the folder.

Search Bins are a critical tool for the larger projects I am editing, and has made Premiere useless for editing at this scale.

I see this on the beta 24.2.

As soon as I click on Create new search bin: crash, no error.

In 2024.1 it does give a error message (sent)

I have been getting the same crashes trying to save a search bin. No solution yet. It does not crash "normally", meaning it does not give any sort of error message or freezes. The program closes instantly as soon as the search bin tries to be saved

I just find a way to delete the search bin.
1. create a useless new bin ( e.g. Binxxx)

2. use keyboard shortcuts ( Ctrl + A / Command-A ),  highlight all bin in your project
3. click all usefull bin you need, untill just highlight " Binxxx" & search bin you had created before
4. press " Delete"
5. Yeah .....!!!!

Same here in both Mac and Windows versions. At least in the Windows version Crash Reporter I can enter some useful words to help diagnose the issue. In the Mac version its not possible to do even that.

Also having this issue.

Version 24.1.

Create a search bin. Immediate crash. Get the option to send a log to Adobe. Reload Premiere, get option to restore project, restore, project functions UNTIL I select the search bin, then immediate crash.

For some of us, search bins are a core function. This should never have been released with this bug, and it should have been patched by now. Poor form Adobe.

This is ridiculous Adobe. Search Bins are comepletely unusable. It's been like this for multiple versions. Stop adding AI crap and focus on maintaining core functionality or you'll lose me as a customer.

I'm thankful someone else is having this issue. My Premiere Pro crashed until I realized it was whenever my mouse crossed the search folder. When I tried to delete the folder, it also crashed.

I have the same problem with Version.2.1 (Build 2). When I move the mouse over the folder, Premiere crashes. The problem was gone for a while without doing anything. Now, it's back again. That is very annoying.

Hi there, I'm trying to solve the problem. I created a new project file from Premiere Pro (24.2.1 (Build 2)) and created a search bin, but Premiere crashes when creating the bin.

I'm also having this problem.
But I think I found a temporary solution.

I clicked on the BIN settings tab and disabled "PREVIEW AREA". It has since stopped crashing.
