Premiere just froze when I clicked "Save as". It's unresponsive and looks like i'll have to force quit it. This has been happening to me for the last 2 years since I started working with Premiere. Absolutely unacceptable. I have the latest version of Premiere and the latest Nvidia drivers. The only plugin I have installed is the Mojo plugin but this has been happening before I installed it.
I sincerely hope there is a fix for this soon because It is the worst feeling to have completed 15 or 30 minutes of work, go to save it, and then be slapped in the face with a freeze.
The only way around this is to NEVER save-as. Only save. If you need to make a new version, duplicate the file and name it differently.
This is basically just the way things are at this point. I've just accepted it. Set projects to auto-save every 5 minutes or so and move on with your life. I know, it's unacceptable but they'll never fix it at this point.
Just happened to me this afternoon, lost like 15 minutes of project changes.
AMD 2700x, 32GB RAM, WIN10, GTX 1080 Ti, everything up to date.
