I'm having a problem where Premiere is operating normally, then just deselects the timeline (or any other panel,) out of the blue. For instance, I can be playing the timeline, using J-K-L to go forward/back, then when I hit K to stop, the timeline will no longer be selected, so Premiere will keep playing along the timeline. I then need to click back into the timeline and K-to-stop works.
This can happen as often as every 10 seconds or so. It doesn't happen only while playing, but can happen when I'm idling, etc. There's no other indication for when it will happen.
The computer ins't switching to another app. Premiere isn't crashing, or otherwise behaving badly. If I Shift-1 or Shift-7 to bring up the FX panel or Project bin, I get the "bonk" error sound, and it doesn't select those panels either.
I had thought maybe it has to do with some Nanny-ware, since I'm using a company machine. Then a colleague suggested that I uninstall Logitech software that helps my mouse. (Logi Options.) I uninstalled that software, and the problem persisted.
Can you think of why Premiere would be the active app, but I'm selected out of all panels until I click one? Several other colleagues have the same issue, on identical machines.
Thanks,
-Troy
