As said in title:  Premiere disables copy/paste in the Transcript window?

Got an editor wishing to copy/paste the text of a trascript so he can migrate various phrases over to a Word .doc.  Doable or no?

Enter Edit mode (double click or <Enter>) and copy works. If you just select transcript text (as you would do when using the set in/out points etc) it does not.

It is a bit odd, since the copy option seems available.

You can export .txt version and use that.

It depends on the use.

You could also use the in/out insert to create a sequence with just what you want. Then export .txt of that transcript.

Yes, Odd! I tried today to copy and paste to a marker. That would save time when trying to mark interesting quotes.
