Hi all. Win 10, PPro 22.6.2 Build 2.
What's going on with the sorting of imported P2 MXF-originated clips by name?
I have imported both the original clips (directly from the properly copied P2 folders); and a transcoded version of the files that I made in AME (because the originals were 5994 and we're working in 23976, so we prefer to transcode and not mix on the timeline).
Attached are two screencaps, one of the MXF import bin, the other of the transcoded bin. Both are sorted by name. Both are sorted incorrectly.
Why is this important? Because, whether I create a "stringout" sequence using the new IMPORT dialog, or simply lasso the clips in the bin and "create new sequence from clips", the resulting sequence is out of seqnence. I have to manually put the stringout together, using what I think is the proper sort by name, in order to make a stringout sequence that makes sense.
With 20-30 clips, that's no big deal. If I had hundreds of clips (which I often do), this would be a nightmare.
So why is it that I can sort P2 clips alphanumerically better than Premiere?

Mike,
Would you mind sharing some of the original files with me? I don't have a camera that'll generate P2 MXF files handy, so having some of yours would be very useful.
Thanks!
