Hi,

I am trying to edit a video comprised of 3 clips, an intro (an MP4 file) the actual footage (MTS file) and the outro (also MP4). Once imported into the assembly, when trying to drag them into the editing area, I am unable to include more than two clips in there as "video clips". For example, it lets me import the intro and the footage, but then forces me to drag the outro in as an "audio clips". Or if we close the programme and try again in a new project, the intro and outro can be imported just fine but the footage is forced in as "audio". This has happened with every combination of the three files, with one always being forced in as audio.

Can someone explain why this is happening please and let me know how to rectify it?

Thank you!

You should use the insert photo fonction to your reply in order to avoid downloading and in order to everybody see your screenshot 🙂 .

The source monitor is missing in your screenshot. By the way watch out the linked selection icon under your timeline timecode. It's better to let it enable to avoid desynch of your video and audio. To answer your question, it's very strange. Normaly it came from a bad source selection , in fact sometime the source patching is wrong because both V and A has to be selected ( in blue ) to send Audio and Video on the timeline. If everything is ok, I don't know what's going on.Source patchingSource patching
