Premiere Pro 2021 is causing constant Fatal crashes on iMac 5k 27" 2019 - Big Sur 11.5.1

Since late May of 2021 Premiere has been tripping my iMac and causing fatal system reboots, as in the whole computer shutsdown, erasing all unsaved work throughout the whole computer. I have tried dozens of configurations, like disconnecting the second monitor, all new cables disconnecting all external drives, 3 different pairings of mice and keyboards, but the problem persists. Sometimes I can edit for about an hour, sometime just a few minutes before Premiere Pro crashes the whole system. I spent the month of July cutting on a Mac laptop, same OS as the iMac, and no issues. However, it is a slower system and I need to use my iMac again, but despite updated and making all the above changes, Premiere Pro continues to crash and burn. No other software is causing this issue. I am a professional and expect my professional software to operate without this kind of instability.

Please advise if possible.

Thanks!

I have the same problem with Premiere Pro 2021 and my 27" Imac (Late 2012) running Catalina 10.15.7. Regular fatal crashes, everything just shuts down instantly.  Never happened before this Fall.  Cutting and pasting some of the crash report in case thats relevant. Any advice??

I had a problem with PPro 2021 crashing, installing to a 2020 i9 intel macbook pro with Big Sur.

It would work for a time, and then would simply start having fatal exception crashes and I would not able to re-open or recover, even from backup projects, or resetting settings files.

I learned later it was because I have a large amount of ProTools audio plug ins from Universal Audio, Waves, iZotope!, and others. I was advised to do this song-and-dance manuver of manually relocating my audio suite plug ins to a standby folder when using PPro 2021. I found the work around was to simply NOT use 2021. 2020 works.  The problem persists todya and now I'm terrified of being caught in the middle of a project and losing everything.

Quite simply put, I feel myself thinking of moving to another DAW for the 5th time in my post production life. I need one that can play nice on the same system as my ProTools and composing software.  The other option is to learn and use Final Cut Pro X (or latest), which I found abhorant (I'm a former FCP7 user and 10 was just a total affront to my entire balance in life).

If anyone has had a similar experience with having a high power NLE and DAW on the same macbook pro, let me know.

Best regards to all youse.
