Premiere Pro 24.0 (Bld 57) loses dynamic link with AE with every edit

I'm working on a video in Premiere Pro 24 using dynamic linking with AE beta 24.1 (Bld 71). I've got the Ae comp in the Premiere timeline but everytime I jump into Ae, make an edit and save, jumping back top Premiere shows the link as broken. I need to relink to the comp with each edit.

It's really consistent.

Steps:

1. Open both Ae and Premiere Pro

2. Using Dynamic Linking import the Ae Comp

3. Go to Ae and edit something

4. Jump back in Premiere and the link is broken

5. Use "Link Media" in Premiere to relink the Ae comp

Thnks for looking into it.

Sorry, but I'm not able to duplicate. I had both open with a project. I created Text in a Comp and saved. Then I used (omg) File Explorer and droppd that project into PP. Then I could go back and forth, changing things in AE. In fact I don't have to save in AE, I can make a change, click on PP and it updates.

I even dropped it in to PP using the ill begotten File Explorer which for me has always worked well.

Maybe try it with new projects? Different projects, etc. If not, then suspect some preferences to be reset.

BTW: We've been getting quite a few comments on the PP thread which should probably be posted on the Beta thread. I can't move it, but maybe somebody should.

Are you using the Beta After Effects and the released Premiere> I'm also on an iMac. I wonder if that's a factor. I also used Dynamic Linking in the Premiere menu where it asks to locate the Ae file you want to import. It sounds like you're doing it differently. Maybe I'll try your method.
