Hello, I have a custom Windows 11 PC running Premiere Pro 24.5.0 and I'm editing projects from these Sandisk/Western Digital HDDs (seen here). I am experiencing seemingly random freezes while editing in Premiere Pro that cause my whole PC to become unresponsive. I cannot even open task manager to quit Premiere Pro or to restart my PC gracefully and must hold down the power button to hard reset the PC.Is there any solution to this issue?
I also tried navigating to C:\Users\[user]\AppData\Local\Temp\Adobe\Premiere Pro\24.0\SentryIO-db\reports
to look for any log files but that folder is empty.
Here are the specs below:
Windows 11 x64 Build 22631
AMD Ryzen 9 7900X
Asus ROG STRIX B650E-F with BIOS 3024
Nvidia GeForce 3080Ti with updated drivers
G.Skill Flare X5 RAM 64GB
2TB WD Black SSD
Two monitors: Dell 1080p and Dell 4K
Hi @alejandra_3318,
I'm Kevin from support, and I'm of the mods here. We appreciate you filing this bug report.
It sounds like you are having trouble with your project's performance with the current software version, right?
Your information is excellent; however, the team might need to know more about your media type. See, How do I write a bug report?
You might try a few troubleshooting steps that I just gave @Dan27407918zbpm.
Please try troubleshooting via the Reset Options dialog box.

I also will add these external drives are formatted in MacOS Journaled (HSFJ). Since it's that file format, I am using MacDrive to be able to read/write to the external drives.

I have been having these issues as well. The beta version works perfectly fine though. In fact... it's INSANELY responsive and fast. I can't even use the public version. It's so slow that I zoom out a little and then the timeline zooms out 1-2 seconds later. Sometimes worse. I haven't used the public version since like last year. The beta is the only thing that works for me

Please try troubleshooting via the Reset Options dialog box. Before doing so, please read the tip below.
Don't bother with the tip if you don't mind losing customizations you may have already made.
Tip: If you have made many customizations, you may want to temporarily store the Preferences file on the desktop before launching the dialog box.
Preferences are stored in the following location:
For Windows: <drive>\Users\<user name>\Documents\Adobe\Premiere Pro\<version>\Profile-<user name>
For macOS: <drive>/Users/<user name>/Documents/Adobe/Premiere Pro/<version>/Profile-<user name>
How to: Press Shift at launch to see the dialog box. Here, you can reset preferences, clear the media cache, and plug-in loading cache. You also have the option to temporarily disable all third-party plug-ins.
If resetting these files did not work, try creating a new project and importing your old one into the new one.
I hope that these troubleshooting steps assist you with the bug. Kindly let us know the results of these tests. I hope the team responds soon. Sorry for the frustration.
Thanks,
Kevin
