Uninstalling and re-installing appears for the moment at least to have fixed the search issue. Although it has worked for a few minutes here or there previously. Attempting to switch to the color workspace still crashes the program instantly. I can access the panel when switching to the All Panels workspace. Super frustrating to have to use a bunch of workarounds on what should be a professional product. Hopefully an update comes in soon to fix the bugs.

Everyone, please try this: Even if you have only one project open, choose File > Close All Projects. Now reopen your project; is the filter/search box usable? This worked for me today.

For what it's worth, this worked in my case. Search field did not work at all. Then closed all projects, re-opened and voila. Fingers crossed. Definitely a bug in this version....

Hm very strange. Last night (or 2 nights ago, I forgot) - all programs are updated - Premiere and AfterFX - but opening for the 1st time - Premiere project - Search worked. Opening again - Search didn`t work. Close all, start again, open project and wait a bit and then click OPEN - search appears again. I have no idea what it might be...
But - sound is synchronized with picture for me
This is the most important... Search might work if lock/unlock/lock/unlock project few times, save and open... I did not have time to try this but at least... Sync works ![]()
I will see if synchronization works well with sound when hit <./DEL> small key on numeric keypad for play sound in AfterFX. I hope it do. If not - the only way I can sync audio with keyframes is - hold CTRL key and click on time-line. Then play sounds jerky but plays well... In rendered preview video works synced. Only in DEL (play sound from selected keyframe on timeline) did not play well - in AfterFX it plays delayed (like time-line is moved 3-4 frames in advance!)... Damn...

Hi all. OP chiming in, not that it matters. Originally I didn't have the box greyed out issue - my issue was that filtering didn't reveal results that it should have. However, now I DO periodically have the greyed-out search/filter field issue. @Stefan, Closing my project and reopening it DID fix it for me just now. I had freshly launched Premiere this morning and immediately had the issue. I had opened the project from the initial Premiere "choose your project" window. Maybe that somehow figures in.
