So it's a really weird problem: I'm adding sound effects into a project, and Premiere is clipping them. The clipping sound isn't there when I play the audio files in another app, so this looks to be Premiere's doing alone.
Anybody ever run into this before?

Hi there!
Sorry about that. Can you try switching Default Input to No Input? Edit > Preferences > Audio Hardware.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks,

This didn't have any effect; the clipping sound is still there (for the sake of simplicity and clarity when I say "clipping sound" I'm talking about a "pop" where it shouldn't be; at the in point or out point of a sound effect). It happens sometimes at the start and end of a sequence, and sometimes when I add a cut to the sound effect itself on the timeline (like for instance if I need to pan it from one side to the other, so I add a cut but otherwise don't adjust anything except the panner).
