So I had this problem about a year ago. I am working on my company network and the only way for them to resolve this problem then was to create a new user login for me. Now out of the blue, it's happening again.

Things I've tried:

Run as administrator

Updating Drivers

Uninstalling/reinstalling Premiere Pro CC

Uninstalling/reinstalling QuickTime

System Restore

I've tried to contact support but it only brings me back to the forum. No option for chat, or phone call. Getting really frustrated as I need to complete video projects for work and this is delaying me. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Below is an image:

Hi, I am getting this problem as well. Did you ever manage to solve it?

Thanks for sharing this video, Grzegorz Nieroda, which contains the solution for this issue. Apologies for the salty language, though. Unfortunately, that's the way editors talk sometimes.

Regards,

Kevin

FWIW, as of 10/8/20, Adobe told me that the 2020 version of Premiere CC is not yet fully compatible with Windows 10-64 and, as a result, the ImporterQuicktime.prm error occurs upon program launch. An unfathomable situation, but so be it. Adobe told me that no Premeire CC version above 13.XX is compatible with Win 10-64 as of this date. All the 14.XX versions, which are the latest versons, are no to be used if one wants to avoid this error.

Thank you. Any idea how to get the previous version (13) back? You would think that knowing this they would add tiny bit of code so that Premier Pro would not auto-update on PCs. I've been trying to get work done for a week now...it was like getting a finger from Adobe...a company who's software I have been using since, not kidding at all here: since 1987.

Wow. I was just on with Adobe Technicians for this issue on 10/28, and no told me about this. Their minor update only worked a couple times, and now I get it again. This has error has been a huge waste of time for me. Thank you for posting! I was going to try an older version, but wasn't sure which one to try. Thank you, again!

It has happened to me 3 times since the beginning of the year. It’s desperate, and amazing that no solution can be found! I had to reinstall Windows every time.
I am now trying to install an earlier version of Premiere, but it is unforgivable that this problem has not been resolved in so long.
