Hello,

We've got a crash happening on a specific project. I've done a full system reset and re-install we've tried creating new .prproj documents.

There's a recurring error which is the last thing at the end of the UXPlogs consistently

[date] [0x70000659b000][Error] [console] [Nd-1] Failed to create /get SAMAssetContext: SAM init timed out

Please help - this is causing huge issues.

Have you tried deleting the Media Cache and creating a new project and then importing the old one into it?

Thankyou, but yes. The project actually contains 5 separate films.

We're even now splitting them into separate .prproj to see if we can isolate the problem. We just got about 30 minutes with one of the sequences in it's own .prproj - then the error comes back. and now that .prproj crashes instantly after opening.

I'll try that now, but like I said we factory reset the machine and installed only premiere pro 24 on the fresh install - still got this issue.

I've just been able to repeat the error on another machine. it's 100% not the install or the machine it's running on.

Ok. Appear to have a fix. We'll stress test it next week. Because frankly we've been at this for 3 days now.

im not sure which of the two solutions is the real one or if its a combination of both.

A project which was crashing virtually on open has been made to work by:

running it through this tool: http://joshcluderay.com/downgrade-premiere-project-converter/

(bit weird to have an official adobe support person rely on that as a solution but there we are)

we also rolled back to prpro 24.0 instead of most current.

project was last saved in Feb 23 before issues came up.
