Hi!

I am working with the latest Premiere version on a brand new iMac. Every time I open a project, it duplicates itself within the folder on the hard drive. Today, I've open and closed the same project a few times, and therefore now have five different copies of the project, named xxxx_1.prprpj, xxx_2.prprpj, and so on. Why is this happening, and how can I stop it?

Thanks!

Hi there,

We're sorry for the trouble. We believe Premiere Pro is creating autosave backup copies of the project. It helps to open the back up file in case the application crashes or power shut down happens and you forget to save the project. Check out this article to know how to enable or disable it: https://filtergrade.com/auto-save-feature-premiere-pro/

I hope it helps.

Thanks,

Shivangi
