Premiere Pro Editing Sessions Keeps Getting Kicked

Explorer ,
May 20, 2025 May 20, 2025

Good day Adobe,

For the third time today, Premiere Pro and the Adobe account has kicked my session while in the middle of work. The only error message I get is to save the project. Each time I check after this happens, I checke the profile device usage, and the device is activated. I did deaviate and reactivate at one time to see if that worked, but it did not stop the session kicking. So after the third rodeo, I begin to wonder if its an account bug?

I have also restarted the PC and Premiere Pro several times. Also using the corporate federated account, that uses Microsoft single sign-on. And I got to admit, lately in the past several month, MS and Windows networking has gotten wierd, but IT is not my main domain.

I just need to get the video editor working.

While this is all happening, I have noticed the Lato "Heavy" does not show up on the list consistantly, even though I have a fully functional preset style. I checked the Adobe font site and have the entire Lato family activated, additionally saving the "heavy" to my account library, but still a no show in Premiere. As for now, to simulate "heavy" I need to choose "bold" (as all the other family shows up, just not heavy) and I need to bold the bold to mimic the heavy. This issue appears to be related with the session kicking, as if the Adobe account cannot figure out that I am actually signed in an actively doing work on one PC only (I deactivated my home training PC, just to make sure that is not a factor).

Unless there is some asteroid passing our planet earth causing a maximum overdrive anomaly, I cannot begin to figure out why the session kicking keeps happening.

Thank you for any help you can provide.

Hello Jamie,

I could not really take a screenshot, the actions would happen to fast, but a message basically shows up and says to save your project, and after clicking save, the message disappears and the entire app closes out.

Reading your instructions, I was able to reset the fonts. I went to Adobe Font and deactivated all Lato, then signed out of the web and the desktop CC hub, then signed back into both, and re-added the entire Lato of fonts. As I was doing this, the CC flashed a message tha

Can you try and remove the Lato family of fonts from creative cloud desktop with Premiere Pro closed and then add the family back.  In the creative cloud desktop app there is a home tab and on the right hand side you can see a tab labeled "Adobe Fonts"

Sorry for the frustration.

As I was doing this, the CC flashed a message that fonts were substracted, then added.

After this, Premiere Pro has not closed out on me, and the Lato "Heavy" is showing up now. It appears it was more of a font permission/access issue, if I were to guess again. But generally, when a font is not accessible, Premiere Pro just temporarily fills the font with some other font, however in this case, the entire app was closing.

Thank you for the help. I have to run things more to see if any more issues occur, but so far, all is working fine.
