Premiere Pro Keeps De-Clicking , Can’t Edit Any Text or Subtitles

New Here ,
Nov 18, 2025 Nov 18, 2025

I’m having a de-clicking issue in Premiere Pro where I can’t edit any text. In the Captions panel, the text box instantly de-clicks before I can type. The same happens when I double-click titles in the Program Monitor, it opens for a moment and immediately deselects.

I’ve tried workspace reset, Essential Graphics, disabling “Selection Follows Playhead,” locking tracks, and restarting, but nothing works.

Hi there,

We're sorry to hear about this. Please let us know the exact version of Premiere Pro & the OS that you are using. Is this happening with any specific project or all of them?

Thanks,

Sumeet

@望実5FC1,

There have been bugs that are similar; some of  them have been fixed, and others are pending. That is why it is very important that you tell us your exact version of PR.

Also, most of these involve typing at least one character, so a screen recording would be helpful.

If you have not, create a new test project and add the minimum you need to try to create the problem. Do you see it there?

Stan
