Premiere Pro loads forever trying to open files

Hi, I'm having a loading bar issue. I open Premiere Pro (run the M1 version, updated to the latest version when I first encountered this issue). I believe I must have force-quit the last time as I get a pop-up asking me if I would like to recover my files. I click no. I choose a file to open, then I get the loading bar window. It loads to full, but gets stuck there. I get the spinning wheel of death. I have tried to click yes, and still get the spinning wheel of death. I have tried to make a new project, and once again get the spinning wheel of death. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Please advise.

We're sorry about this. Have you tried resetting app preferences to isolate any preference corruption issue that might be causing the app to misbehave?
