Premiere Pro Slow Performance While Trimming - Please Help!

Hello,

I've been facing a frustrating issue with Adobe Premiere Pro and I'm hoping someone here can lend a hand.

Until a few weeks ago, everything was running smoothly, but now I'm encountering a major slowdown.

In the the video attached I am using W (Ripple Trim Next Edit To Playhead) to trim the video and when I do it takes so much time before the software is ready to do anything else. But in general it is really slow. Video Codec Type: MP4/MOV H.264 4:2:0

I've tried the standard troubleshooting steps like clearing the cache and resetting the settings, but unfortunately, that hasn't resolved the issue.

I'd really appreciate any insights or suggestions you might have to get my Premiere Pro back up to speed.

Thank you

Try using proxies.

Post computer specs, OS and Premiere version and build.

Guessing this is phone footage? Variable frame rate is know to give issues.

If the footage is variable framerate convert to constant framerate with Handbrake or Shutter Encoder before bringing into Premiere.
