Hello,
over the past few weeks I have been having problems with premiere pro being sluggish. For example, I opened a projects I am working on and tried to created a new sequence and I was unable to pick any of the other presets besides DV NTSC. Also when I try to change workspaces on the tabs it moves very slow and freezes forcing me to go up to the windows tab then to workspaces then it responds. Also the play head does not move while I am scrubbing through footage although I can see the footage scrubbing by. Not sure what is happening here and hoping to fix this issue so I can get back to things working properly.
Some details about my system
Processor: AMD Ryzen 9 3950X
Installed RAM 64GB
Graphics card: GEforce RTX 2070

If that doesn't work, try Preferences > Audio Hardware and set Input to None.
If that doesn’t work, try updating or rolling back your graphics driver directly from the video card manufacturer’s site. If NVIDIA, do a clean install of the latest Studio Driver (NOT the Game Driver)

Thank you! That solved it. The main fix was installing the Studio Driver on the graphics card.

I have M1 Max and still I get similar problem. It's very random, this working year this is the 2nd time it happens. I should use Command+Tab and go back to Premiere again to be able select a footage or change something in the timeline. Many people have similar issues and they have different solutions that didn't work for me, like the size of the timeline is too big ro small or Audio waveform cause it.
Unfortunalty the more I work with Adobe I apperciate Avid!
