The "FI" in first is a ligature.

This appears to be another undocumented "Known Issue" - is that correct? Or has Adobe documented this somewhere?

While there may be a known issue here (crashing on Macs with certain fonts when using a ligature and/or captions disappearing for some users when using ligatures), the exact cause of the bug is not clear to me.

But almost all users avoid problems if they just understand what a ligature is, pick an appropriate font, and turn ligatures off when necessary. The main problem is that the documentation does not address ligatures.

I do not find any of this in PR helpx documentation. There is an instruction in the PR preferences documentation, but it uses out-of-date references to the Text Engine instead of Text Styling.
