Hi everyone.
My Premiere Pro timeline and project window are unresponsive when I add a 4k clip (shot on A7S3) to the HD timeline and do a resizing of the clip in the effect panel. I move a timeline with a mouse and it's not responding at all.
When I was importing footage, I selected the whole folder which had several folders with clips from different cameras (A7S3, A7R5, iPhone, and DJI Mavic 2 Pro). The footage really took some time to import and I was not choosing to optimize it or change it in any way. I was keeping the footage in the same place. I am attaching screenshots of Media info of my clips.
I've tried resetting the workspace, turning on the preview panel, downgrading to older versions, uninstalling and installing the current version, deleting cash, and deleting the Adobe folder in My Documents (on the Mac OSX Ventura). Nothing helps. The only thing I haven't tried was to completely erase my computer and install everything again, but that's not an option.
This is an issue I've been having with Premiere CC for a few months. It forced me to FCPX where everything works fine with no issues whatsoever.
Now, I'm on the verge of dumping the Premiere altogether and switching to Davinci Resolve and FCPX.
I loved using it while it worked, and now it's completely unusable. I've spent several hours trying to make it work with every project since this spring and there's no solution. It never worked. If I can find a solution that would be great as Premiere's been my 1st choice for NLE since the time it was competing with Media 100.
Maybe I'm not the only one that's delt with this and somebody knows a solution. I couldn't find it anywhere.
My computer setup is:
14" MacBook Pro M1 Max
64 GM Ram
2 TB SSD
OSX Ventura 13.4.1
I've tried all Premiere versions from 22 to the latest one that was just released.
I appreciate your help.
