The latest update of Premiere Pro has caused sound to play intermittently when previewing during editing.
I'm editing videos that played fine in preview before the update.
Now the sound will play for a few seconds then go to silent, then chop back in for a few seconds before chopping out again.
This is making it impossible to edit.
The audio track is fine, and the final rendered videos are fine.
There is no change in the videos that I am viewing, nor any other component of the composition.
There is - literally - no change apart from the latest update.
Is this likely to be a memory or caching issue?
Does anyone have any idea of what I could do to address this issue?
Thanks in advance for all your help - clients are beginning to become aggravated!

updates often make greater demands on your hardware and operating system.

If the previous version was working fine, I'd suggest reverting to that version.
And updates and installations can sometimes have issues. You might try uninstalling CC and reinstalling. Might be useful to use this

And what are your source properties and sequence settings. A workaround might be to transcode your audio if the source codec is making greater demands on your system...
