Premiere pro versions incompatible

Community Beginner ,

Hey there. I have a problem. I have premiere pro project that is located in a Dropbox folder and that is shared with my colleague. We edited this project one by one. But today his project opened as the old one ( Premiere Pro suggested me to add _1 to name of the project file). I though that today night premiere has been updated. But my colleague can't open the project file that was created by my copy of Premiere Pro ( that is with _1 in the name of the file). Only me can open it. Although we have the same versions of Premiere Pro (23.6.0 build 65). How it can be and how we can fix that? Thank you

When it did this, it warned you that the PR version you are now in, almost certainly the newly updated PR 24.0.0, is a new project file version, and the old project file was not compatible. It adds the 1 so that your old project was not changed.

I don't see how that is possible given what you describe. Help -> About in PR. If you kept the old version of PR when it updated (you always should; turn up autoupdate), just use the older version. If it was uninstalled with the new update, you can reinstall 23.6.
