Premiere reading 720x480 ProRes DV Pixels as Square Pixels

New Here ,

I recently updated to the 2023 version of Adobe Premiere. I opened up a project edited in a previous version and all the SD footage now looks stretched. It is 720x480 ProRes with DV pixels (.9091), but when I look at properties it tells me that they are square pixels (hence the stretching). I can open the same project in an older version and everything looks correct. Please advise, many thanks!

Post screenshot sequence setting, clip properties and overall UI with clip showing in Program Monitor and Effect controls.

I created a new project in Premiere 2020, and imported the footage. As you can see from the screenshot below, it correctly interprets it as having DV pixels.

I then opened the same project in Premiere 2023. As you can see from the screenshot below, it did keep the correct settings for the sequence but is now interpreting the footage as having square pixels.

Dont open the project in 2023 but make a new one: Start fresh.

If it still does not see the correct ratio.

Interpret footage from 1.0 to 0.9091 in the project window.

Many thanks! The issue is that I am working with hundreds of such clips, mixed in with footage of various different resolutions. Am I going to have to go through and manually do this for each individual clip? Why is Premiere interpreting my DV pixel footage as square pixel, when it didn't before?

No you dont have to do them one by one.

Just select all in the Project Window > Modify > Interpret Footage.

Might be able to sort by Video Codec.
