Premiere won’t let me open any projects or start a new one

Hi. 

premiere pro latest version won't open any projects. Was working fine yesterday. I am usin a MacBook Pro 14inch 2022.

the app will open but when I select the project it just buffers for ages. Tried to open a new project to import the old projects but it won't open a new project either. 

I tried deselecting mercury playback and I have reset preferences 

Really frustrating as I have projects that I need to send off. 

please help me!
