Premieree Pro 22.5 crashes when trying to create proxies

I am trying to create proxies to edit some 4k drone footage, I have done this many times before. But when Media Encoder opens Premiere crashes and no files get imported into ME. Any suggestions?

Premiere Pro 2022 v22.5

2017 iMac

3.2 GHz 8-Core Intel Xeon W

32 GB 2666 MHz DDR4

Radeon Pro Vegas 56 8 GB

macOS Catalina 10.15.7
