HI guys!
I'm trying to editing something on Premiere Pro 2023 and I loved using the auto caption feature. When I upgraded the text to the Graphics, I noticed when trying to move it the text box is alot bigger than normal text layers. Normally when I do Control + T it would be a very small box around the actual text itself, but this one there is alot of space around. I tried applying a text preset to it but the animation is off, but it's fine if I apply it to a normal text layer. I think it might be an issue with the anchor point but when I tried changing it, nothing got better.
I appriciate all the help I can get

Sorry you did not get a response. I have previously tried to provide a comprehensive response to this question, but I never succeed!
You are correct that there is an anchor point issue. But it is not only that.
When you "upgrade caption to graphic," it inherits that text box from the caption. And it is too large. And the resulting "upgraded" graphic text box is "paragraph text," not "point text." The TEXT anchor point is different for those 2.
You can modify some of the caption properties before the upgrade operation, including box size. Create a Caption Track Style to apply the box size to all caption segments. But this can create other problems.
Some of the limitations can be avoided by centering the captions (Zone and paragraph alignment), so that the frame-centered anchor points (Video Motion and Vector Motion) can be used instead of Text Anchor Point. Or aligning the text so the size of the box does not matter.
