Preset workflow with export settings

Hi 🙂

I'm not an expert in PP at all so maybe my workflow is wrong or I'm missing something obvious.

Whenever I export using AME I have to select in the dropdown which Preset I need. This is a huge drain productivity wise since I'd like to use the "Start queue automatically..." setting - but I can't use that since I may forget to set the correct preset. How can I set another preset as the default?

Another question: If I go to the Export window in PP. There I have my preset - let's call it "MyPreset". But when I then click Send to Media Encoder why does it default to "Custom"? Is this a bug?

In Adobe Media Encoder (AME), the default preset is whatever the last used preset was (this only applies to files added to the queue, not sequences exported from Premiere Pro).

You may also want to look into Watch Folders as a way to automatically encode files to a specific format. Here’s a guide on creating Watch Folders.

If you select a preset in Premiere, then hit 'send to Me', it applies that preset.

If you hit 'send to Me' without selecting a preset, then naturally you need to select one in Me.

And Paul's suggestions are always very wise and good.
