problem of corrupted videos

Hello;

yesterday I was editing a video on adobe premiere pro as usual everything went well then I went to eat.
When I came back, I opened my project and saw that some videos were no longer linked to any media, which I found strange because I hadn't moved or renamed any files.

So I tried to link the missing media but I couldn't, the videos had become corrupted whereas they were working fine before.

I tried re-downloading the rushes that didn't work, but even when I re-downloaded them, they remained corrupted.

The next day it was 100% of the videos that had become corrupt in this project but in all my adobe projects 100%. At first I thought it was a hard disk problem but no because the corrupted videos are only those present in adobe projects.

I cleared the media cache and a small part of the videos came back normal but many others remained corrupted and every time I import a working video into adobe it becomes corrupted.

I would like to point out that I have reloaded the application and it has saved some of my projects but it has worsened other projects that I had already managed to restore.

I'm fed up, I can't work any more, I can't find any solutions.

Hi Allan,

To help troubleshoot your issue, could you provide some more details:

  1. Do the media files play outside of Premiere?
  2. Where are they stored after you download them?

These details will help in identifying the problem.

Thanks,
Paul

As Paul mentioned, more info is helpful,

but in many cases related to file importer error,

changing the files location or renaming them and relinking fixed the issue.

--> Try restarting Premiere while holding shift and restarting plugin settings.

I found this on a random reddit thread, and clearing the plugin settings fixed it for me after a LONG time looking for a solution. Maybe it works for you too!
