I'm working on a project on version 15.0 that was started on version 14.7. Premiere imported captions and I was editing it normally until it suddently crashed. Since I opened it again, it's been shown the captions previously input on version 14.7 as if it was a different track. I can't see this track and I can't hide it though.

At first I thought this was limited to Mac users with 608 and/or 708 captions. Then a Windows user reported it. And I think it was that person who was working with 608 or 708 from a previous project version.
I can't create it on Windows 10.
And I know of no workaround.
It does not appear to affect output, but test it and let us know.
Are you embedding on export?

And I'm actually a Mac user. I just tested on Windows 10 with the very same project, and there was no doubled captions.

Luis, thanks, useful information.
Let's hope the output stays clean!
Very interesting that it affects old and new. And that you see it on Mac and not on Windows.
Do you see it with 608 as the only caption track, 708 only, and two captions tracks, one 608 and one 708? (You cannot see both the 608 and 708 on the Program Monitor at the same time, but they will both embed.)

I was using only one track on teletext format, actually. But I just changed the format on track settings and guess what? It's gone, even when I got back to the original format. It seems to be a minor bug with an odd fix.
My client confirmed that the output is ok.
