Premiere pro (22.2) is having problems with P2 footage on a Macbook Pro with Apple silicon M(max).
In the media browser, I can't see thumbnails and can't export a sequence to P2 movie. If I open premiere with via INTEL then there are no problems.
Look at the screenshots.
It would be nice if this gets solved soon.

This does indeed look like an oversight. I wonder if this is limitation of the P2 format or a Premiere issue specific to Apple silicon.

I think it is a bug in the version for M1 Apple Silicon. P2 has not changed in recent years.

Hi there,
We're sorry about the poor experience. Currently, export to P2 Movie is not supported on Premiere Pro running on M1 systems. To access this feature, you may run the app in Rosetta mode. Please refer to this link for more details.
Thanks,
Sumeet

Hi,
Thank you for the information.
Will there be a solution in a new version of Premiere in the future?
And what about the thumbnails in the media browser?
thanks

Hi Sumeet,
Is this now an official bug in premiere pro and will there be a fix in the next version?

This (lack of) functionality is mentioned in the "known issues and limitations" section here:
https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/kb/premierepro-and-macos-big-sur.html
There are some differences in functionality and some features are not available with Premiere Pro on Apple M1.
