Process to free up disk space when project is idle

If I'm not going to work on a project for a while and want to free up as much disk space used by the project as possible, what is the process to go through?  I see directories like Adobe Premiere Pro Video Previews and Adobe Premiere Pro Audio Previews taking up space.  Can I just delete those from the Finder / command prompt or is there a way to clean them up while inside Premiere or perhaps some other process I can use.

You can delete those. They will be recreated as needed.

You can also have your Media Cache auto clear out, though I personally prefer to manually do it.
