In the production environment I have to use the "REPLACE FOOTAGE" selection to swap out corrupt media with a non-corrupt version of the exact same thing; same codec, same audio config, same TC etc etc.
No proxy attached.
No other projects open. Only this load project. No other project locked.
I find that the instances of that piece of media in any timeline throughout the production do not inherit that change. They simply go 'offline' never to return. Requires manually re-editing this new clip back into place.
Is there another way to accomplish this successfully?

Hi Joe, @Joe30498449zjxf,
Thanks for the message. I had this issue recently with my own Production. I learned that if the project is part of the original Production, the Reassociate Source Clips command can work well to alleviate this issue. It worked for me. However, if the project was not part of the original Production, you will have to continue with the process you are having trouble with. I hope the info makes sense. Please return with questions.
Thanks,
Kevin
