I can create and link proxies, but occasionally, and for no discernable reason (that is, I cannot perceive a replicatable set of actions that causes it), the "proxy" fields in the bin / browser view will be blank, showing neither "offline" nor "attached" nor "detached" for clips, regardless of whether those clips do or do not have proxies successfully attached. This has been an issue over mulitple versions, I think going back to CC 2020 or 2019. It is a problem b/c when I create proxies, i cannot tell which clips have or do not have them successfully attached. Seems like some kind of display bug. I have experienced this issue across various projects over multiple years, with various kinds of footage. Mac 6,1, 8-core, 64 GB RAM, dual D700 GPUs 6GB VRAM each. Mac OS 12.6.5.

This issue also crops up with the Proxy File Name and Proxy File Path fields. Sometimes they are populated (while the "Proxy" field is not) and other times they are blank, with no rhyme or reason. I have tried resetting or changing my window layouts, and it does not resolve the issue, nor does opening and closing the project or re-launching the application.

You might try starting a new project and import the current one to it.

Right except this is a bug. I want Adobe to fix it. I've tried various workarounds, and that's all fine, but my goal in posting is for Adobe to fix it. 🙂

OK, gotcha. I'll say it is hard to find a 'bug' that is not reproduceable or doesn't have 'a replicatable set of actions that causes it'.
I checked my machine before I posted above, and I'm not having that issue.
