PrP timeline lag

So, i get this problem quite often, anmd it usually clears up on its own, but its just annoying. When i drag clips onto the timeline, they wont appear untill i press enter. If i try to scrub usuing the scrubber, it wont move with me and wont appear where i want it dragged to until i press enter. if i want to do anything on my timeline, the desierd action wont appear until i press enter. Does anyone have a solution for this??
