QT playback sound is out of Sync after Apple Pro Res 4444

I'm preparing for a colorist and was asked to do a Pro Res 4444,
Audio format:
embedded in QuickTime - 16bit, stereo, 48k

My 25 minute film comes out to 185gb.

When I play it back on Quicktime - it's lagging and the playback is out of sync.  I went to buy a larger external hard drive and it did not appear to make a difference.

Does anyone know how to solve this? If I can't play the file correctly on quicktime - might it work better on another computer?
