"Paste Attributes" changing the scale of the elements in my project

Sometimes, when I use paste attributes (so far I've only seen it happen to PNGs/JPGs), premiere seems to "phantom-edit" the sizes of my images. An image that was once 100 scale will all of the sudden cover the whole screen or be half as tiny for no apparent reason. The weird thing is, the scale doesn't actually change. It only changes the scale during playback. When I export the video or mess around with the scale, everything looks normal. So after I add some drop shadow to everything for example, the sizes of all my images will be messed up and I just have to accept it basically. But it only looks messed up, if that makes sense. If anyone has any possible solutions, I would be very happy to finally get this fixed.

"Paste Attributes" is a pretty broad description. Where are you pasting from and to? What is in those attributes that you are trying to paste over? Pasting attributes can have a big effect on the target track items, which is expected.
