"unopen" in after effects

I am editing a multicam sequence in premiere, and I linked to AE so it opened as clips in AE, but it did not "import" the cuts I had made. So I want to go back and edit in premiere. The problem is, it's just showing the pink "linked comp" in premiere. How do I unlink it so I can edit it again in premiere?

Go back in history.

That is correct. Have no idea how to undo linked section.

but you could try an auto save.

Next time you link to Ae make a copy first and superimpose. Use that to link.

If things go wrong, you always have the original track.

OK, thanks. Weird that it's not possible - but I will stop looking!

I'll definitely make a copy in the future. I just lost a lot of work though (multicam edit).
