My option to select "Upgrage to Source Graphic" in the Graphics and Titles menu is grayed out even though I have already checked to make sure my timeline or essential graphics panel is selected and active as well as a caption (or multiple) selected. I followed every instruction and read every word in this help section:

https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/working-with-captions.html

So why isn't it working? I have Premiere Pro 22.6.3 (Build 2) but Adobe Creative Cloud is telling me I cannot update my software any farther even though I am on MacOS 10.15.7 and it says to make sure I am on MacOS 11 or later. I cannot update my OS any farther than 10.15.7 because I am on a 2012 Macbook Pro.

Jameson,

"Upgrade to Source Graphic" is not the same as "Upgrade Caption to Graphic," which was not introduced until PR 23.1 - Dec 2022. Here is the What's New:

https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/whats-new.html

"Upgrade to Source Graphic" is what was previously known as "Upgrade to Master Graphic," a method for creating a "Source Clip" from a graphic clip in a sequence. See "Create Source Graphics" in the reference guide:
https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/essential-graphics-panel.html

You need to fix your OS first if you want to continue using Adobe software.

Your machine is too old.

But if you cannot install Premiere how come you have an issue the EGP?

The addition of the "Upgrade Caption to Graphic" is indeed a major feature.

As Ann says, it looks like you have a system compatibility limitation.

That makes sense. Thank you for clearing up that confusion. I was up working so late, my brain must not have registered the difference in wording.
