I have the same problem; after the last upgrade, Premier Pro will not open. I installed the Microsoft Visual C++ Service Pack, rebooted, nothing. I uninstalled, re-installed, rebooted, nothing. It just doesn't open. No problem at all with Photoshop and Lightroom. This is my computer:

Hi VSP,
We're sorry about the poor experience. Are you getting any error codes or messages at the time of launch? Also, do you have any third-party plugins installed? If so, please hold the shift key while launching Premiere Pro & under the Reset Options window select Disable third-party plugins (one time only) to check if it's launching the app.
Thanks,
Sumeet

Hi Sumeet,
Thanks for responding. There are no error codes that pop up or show. There are no plugins. When I hold the shift key and launch, the same thing happens; that is, nothing at all, other than the small 'start' circle begins and then disappears after 2 seconds or 3 seconds, then nothing happens.

Thanks for trying it, Paul. If the Reset Options window is not showing up. Please try these steps to manually reset the preferences to see if it launches the app.
- Navigate to Documents\Adobe\Premiere Pro & rename the folder named 25.0 to old25.0 (considering you are using the latest version of Pr, if you are using an older version, rename the folder corresponding to that version of Pr). This will cause Pr to create the default preferences folder at that location during the next launch.
- Launch Premiere Pro again & see if it's working properly.
Let us know if it helps.

I did that; unfortunately the same results. It starts, then nothing at all. I rebooted and same result. It will not open.
