Hi guys.

I have a problem exporting a Red giant universe plugin on a black video. It render with no problem and even show perfectly the effect in the preview window before exporting it, but for some reason it stays stuck on the black video after exporting.

Red giant on my computer is updated and so is my Premiere pro to the latest version. The settings of my black video is correct and same as my sequence settings. I tried several things within my sequence settings and export settings but with no sucess. Nesting my clip also didnt work and copy and paste my sequence also didnt work. I dont think it is a Red giant plugin problem because everything works fine up to the point when i have to export. Could it be export settings, black video or a premiere pro problem?

It is a 4k video, 3840x2160, software encoding, VBR 2 pass target 44, max bit rate 56, profile high, level 5,2. frame rate 23.976

Would appreciate it if someone know how to fix this.

Bernard

Thanks a lot for the feedback.

I will try the "smart rendering" out

  • Earlier i managed to fix the problem. I took the clip from premiere pro and copied it to After Effects and exported it from After effects and it finally worked.

Have you tried "smart rendering?"

If you follow this workflow, what you see after you render, should be what you see in the export.

I have similar issues with Red Giant Plugins, mainly Denoiser III and your workaround of routing the clips through Ae seems to work for me as well.

With the takeover of Red Giant by Maxon, it's pretty hard to update the plugins, as you now only have partial licenses and a full Maxon One license is a bit steep for me (considering how infrequent I use them).
