Anyone know if you can turn off legitures on subtitles /captions?
Right click the caption track header -> Track settings.
There it is! Sorry I didn't remember it correctly. It applies to the entire caption track.

There's a wrench or something in the EGP text appearance section? At the dentist and can't look at my notes!

Unfortunately, the only wrench I could find just changed the appearance, i.e. stroke style and fill style.
It's these things.
I found a tick box in the general preferences/graphics, but it made no difference.

I've just seen that you have a subtitle track, I was looking in the titles options, that might well be the difference.

It was a big deal when there was no way at all (in the old captions workflow).
