Rendered preview not loading after saving.

I've been working on a project for a while. If I save it and come back to it a couple of days later, all of the preview files load just fine but if I wait a week, none of the preview files will load. I have to render it out all over again. I have limited time to work on this so having to wait for everything to render is eating up my time to work on my project. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this?

Don't know if this helps but I have several After Effects projects loaded on the timeline.

Hi @defaultx4uaxq5wrg9x,

I read your message. I have another user having the same issue. Can you give us more details? What is the codec for your preview files? Anything unusual about where they are stored or are they on an internal drive? Let us know.

Thanks,
Kevin

I'm using ProRes 422HQ. My preview files are stored on an internal M.2 SSD.

I did think of something that may have caused it. I have a program that cleans up temp files. I'm thinking that it may be deleting them. I will double check.

Yes, @defaultx4uaxq5wrg9x, please let me know. I have a difficult time reproducing the issue here.

Hi. There is nothing unusual about where they are stored. Just happened again. Have to re-render my entire project because my preview files are gone. Beyond frustrating.

Hi @defaultx4uaxq5wrg9x,

I'll move this to the bug reports forum. Sorry for the hassle.
