Rendering is really slow when working from NAS

I'm working from a NAS and i noticed that rendering times are really slow for me. However other PCs working from the same NAS and in the same project don't experience those slow rendering speeds. Tried uploading and downloading speeds for the NAS, but they seem normal for everyone, including me. Its just when i start rendering (on Premiere Pro) when the network shows chunk loading, then no data transfer for 2-3 seconds, then again transferring a chunk of data for a moment and so on. Again, other PCs in the same network don't experience this issue.

I already checked Windows firewall, Cache Files are stored locally on a fast drive and when rendering the project from local, i don't have any issues.

Am i overlooking something obvious or has anyone any idea for a fix? System is Windows 10 Pro, latest update, Premiere version is 24.6.1

I'm not a big network guy but this is likely to be more of a network/config issue than a Premiere one. The only obvious/easy thing I can think of is to check that you have Jumbo Frames enabled (give this article a read for details on how to do that). I'll stress that that's "at your own risk".... if you're on a managed connection or have an IT person, would definitely recommend just working with them.

Only other partial workaround - try exporting your footage to your local drive (I am assuming you are exporting right to the NAS). Then you can just copy those to your NAS as needed.

Thanks for your answer. I indeed wouldn't want to mess with our NAS settings, especially since everything is working fine for everyone else in our office.

If thats to any help for anyone: the problem is not where im exporting the files to. The rendering is slow whether i'm exporting to a local drive or the NAS. The problem is where the files i'm working with are stored. When i have the project stored locally, rendering is not an issue. When i'm working off the NAS, rendering is super slow (again, only for me, anyone else is fine). Also the problem only occurs when rendering in Adobe Premiere, not when using the NAS to copy files to/from.

Has anyone come across this issue?

EDIT: I also tried older versions of Premiere, but still nothing changed.

Generally: When using playback in the program monitor, the footage is very choppy, however the data rate being put through the network connection is stable and fast. In other words: the issue with the choppy data transfer only occurs when exporting.

I then tried exporting with Media Encoder instead of inside Premiere and it worked perfectly fine.

Can anyone make sense of all these things?
